Vijay’s Katthi And Its Sentiment
Tamil super star Vijay is coming before audience with his Katthi and the movie is expected to follow the sentiment.
Chennai: This Deepavali Tollywood is going to have more dubbed movies along with few direct movies as well. After Pooja from Vishal, we will be seeing Vijay in Katthi.
The movie is another action entertainer coming from the Tamil super star Vijay with director AR Murugadoss who gained popularity for himself as record-creator. He made his appearance felt for Tamil, Telugu & Hindi movies.
Murugadoss became more famous for Bollywood audience for his remakes (from Tamil). His Hindi movie Ghazini (taking the original story from Tamil via Telugu) with Aamir Khan is one of the blockbusters in Bollywood. The movie created a new benchmark in terms of collections at the box office. A new club titled ‘Rs.100 croes club’ was started with the movie being the first movie to reach the landmark of Rs.100 crores collections. His latest Hindi movie ‘Holiday’ with Akshay Kumar became another record collector at box office. Murugadoss is also famous for Tollywood with his super hit movie Stalin with megastar Chiranjeevi.
Murugadoss-Vijay combination had their earlier movie Tupakki having Kajal Agarwal as heroine. The movie became super hit and subsequently went for Hindi remake with Akshay Kumar as ‘Holiday’. Tupakki was released in 2012 on day of Deepavali and became super hit. The producers of latest movie Katthi are expecting that the sentiment (of Deepavali release) is going to repeat for this movie as well.
Katthi will be having Samantha as the heroine. The heroine has been finding it difficult to get acceptance (from the audience) for her movies and there are many reports about her dwindling popularity and about her plans to retire from movies. Samantha is having high hopes on Katthi and she is expecting to revive her movie career with this movie.
Hero Vijay is appearing in dual roles in this movie set in the backdrop of story of a international gangster portrayed by Tota Roy Chowdhary. The movie is also having other cast like Sayaji Shinde, Rupesh Gupta, Neil Nitin Mukesh etc. in other important and supporting roles.
The production of the movie attracted attention of many industry sources as the director went in for shooting of a item song at a rich set spending fancy amount for the same.
The movie Katthi went in for many rumours about the clash in the theatres (that are supposed to screen this moie), then there were reports that the movie release might get postponed and now that the movie is releasing on 23rd October 2014, all these rumours are slated to settle down permanently.
