TRS: Losing Confidence In People Of Telangana

The movement party Telangana Rashtra Samitha (TRS) has been successful in getting credit for creation of the new state and formed the government as well. But the popularity of the party is fast dwindling.

Hyderabad: The movement party Telangana Rashtra Samithi under the captaincy of KCR could lead the movement for separate T State. With the parliament clearing the T-bill, the TRS party plunged into direct elections in new state. The people of Telangana gave good support to the TRS party and enabled the party to form the government.

From the day one in power, the new government and the TRS party (read its leaders) are having only one point agenda i.e., to criticise Seemandhra Telugu people on various fronts. The new government in the Telangana state did nothing to increase the productivity and employment opportunities for the people of this state. Rather it stuck to its mean political vendetta creating differences between locals & non locals (read Seemandhra people).

The government went in for severe criticism when it planned to conduct integrated household survey. Though the government and the party made it amply clear about the objectives of the survey, the people viewed the survey with an eye of doubt. Even the central government objected to conducting similar surveys. The courts, on their part, approved conducting the survey subject to certain limitations.

Another action by the new government that went for severe criticism is ‘number plate changing’. The government proposed that all the vehicles with erstwhile registration (AP) need to change to Telangana State (TS). The High Court took serious objection for the same and advised the government not to go ahead with the number plate change without proper ground work. This instruction came in view of huge financial outlay as well as procedural work involved in RTA offices.

The TRS government released list of martyrs who sacrificed their life (during T-agitation) for sake of new state. During the agitation time, there were many reports of more than 1200 people committing suicide demanding Telangana formation. The latest list of martyrs released by the T-government is having less than 500 names and the opposition parties in the T-state already started severe criticism on the list. The parties are expressing doubts that the TRS government is not willing to do justice to the martyrs whose suicides contributed lot to the formation of T-state.

The T-government and the TRS party need to be more pro-people andinvolve all sections of people for development of the state.
