Deepavali Giving Worst Results To Tollywood

TOLLYWOOD NOT DOING GOOD

Deepavali Giving Worst Results To Tollywood

The mega budget movies released this year between Dasara & Deepavali could not make it to the expectations giving Tollywood one of its worst Deepavalis.

Hyderabad: The high budget movies of top rates heroes from Tollywood could not record success rate on the expected lines. Brief description about the bad news for Tollywood is as under:

  • Alludu Sreenu (mega budget movie with Bellamkonda Suresh as producer & Vinayak handling the megaphone wherein Samantha acted as heroine and Tamanna did an item song).
  • Rabhasa (with Jr. NTR) having Samantha & Pranitha as heroines. The director Santosh Srinivas did have much experience as cinematographer and just one movie (Kandireega) as director. The routine music by SS Thaman is considered as one of the factors for the poor performance of Rabhasa at the box office. Heroine Samantha’s bad luck continued for this movie as well.
  • Aagadu (Mahesh Babu gave two successive hits and after disaster film No.1 Nenokkadini this movie received one of the highest levels of hype for Mahesh movies). The lot of disturbances in terms of clash between Prakash Raj & director Sreenu Vytla also added to the negative talk about the movie. The performance of heroine (Tamanna) received little appreciation. The item song performance by Shruti Hasan received good appreciation but could not ensure the required level of success for the movie.
  • Govindudu Andari Vadele (Mega power star Ramcharan Tej). This movie had repeat of Ramcharan-Kajal pair after hits like Magadheera, Yevadu, Nayak etc. Krishna Vamsee (more famous as director of family entertainers) could not ensure required attendance by the audience. The more than required intervention of Megastar in his son’s project is also considered as one of the reasons for failure of GAV.

While the major heroes disappointed the TFI, films like Power (Raviteja, Hensika & Regina), Lowkyam (Gopichand & Rakul Preet Singh) did contribute their best to the success of TFI. The latest releases of dubbed movies (Pooja having Vishal & Shruti Hasan in the lead roles and also Katthi with Vijay & Samantha) are reported to be doing good at the box office thereby giving minor relief to TFI.

We are yet to find the outcome of mega budget movies like Rudramadevi (Gunasekhar historical movie with Anushka in the lead role) & Bahubalil (Rajamouli movie having Prabhas in dual roles and supported by Anushka & Tamanna as heroines). Meanwhile Bollywood is also likely to get dubbed version of superstar Rajni’s Lingga (likely to release in December this year or January 2015).
