BJP Successful In Its Objective ‘Congress Free India’

MODI FACTOR INFLUECING MH & HARYANA ELECTIONS

BJP Successful In Its Objective ‘Congress Free India’

Maharashtra & Haryana state assembly results are continuation of general elections that took place in May this year.

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party is proving luckier by each of the elections that it is facing. With the thumping victory it got in May 2014, BJP has been in cloud9. The PM Narendra Modi is introducing many new works (not schemes) like ‘Make in India’, ‘digital India’, ‘Swachh Bharath’ etc. The programs are finding increased acceptability from the people of India.

On international front, the new government at Delhi is continuously leaving its impact. We can see this from the foreign trips by the PM. His visit to neighbouring countries like Nepal & Bhutan as well as BRICS summit got same amount of success as that of his tours to Japan & US also. Many foreign countries are pledging to invest crores of rupees for development of our country. The technology (like Bullet train) available in countries like Japan & China is likely to enter India for the benefit of people of this country.

On home front, BJP is able to prove that the people of India are still favouring BJP and this is proved with the latest assembly elections for the states of Maharashtra & Haryana. These two states were in congress ruling for the last 15 & 10 years respectively and the BJP Tsunama not only washed the party from power but also thrown the party to third position in both the states.

While Maharashtra gave a welcome victory for the BJP (giving 123 seats out to total 288 seats), Haryana voters gave the BJP clear mandate with 47 (out of 90) seats. The top brass of the BJP is quite thrilled about the recent victory and is confident to form the BJP government. MH is throwing question as to who the BJP is going to partner with in forming the new government – whether with its earlier ally Shiv Sena or the new friend Sharad Pawar’s NCP. While NCP offered to support the BJP government from outside, Shiv Sena is still to declare its view in this regard.

The results are clear indication that corrupt congress is going to be weeded out of the country (as BJP is repeatedly saying about its plan for a ‘congress free India’). Congress government in Maharasthra had many scams involving the top leaders including the Adarsh Housing Scam while Haryana congress government got more negative impact in view of scam involving Robert Vadra land dealings.

Voters of these two states believed that BJP can provide a government that is aimed at development (rather than based on scams).
