Apple launched iPad Air 2 tablet PC which is described as the slimmest tablet by the company CEP Tim Cook. It is priced $499. This comes with special features such as 8 megapixel iSite camera, new generation A8 X chip that contains nearly three billion transistors anti reflective coating. This is the first time that this coating is used for the tablet. Another attraction of the tablet is that it is possible to shoot slow motion videos with this tablet.

Washington: Apple also launched an upgraded iPad Mini 3 and latest Mac operating system. The price of iPad mini 3 starts from $399. Pre orders for both the new launches are already begun. Cook also informed that the new mobile payment system Apple Pay will be made available worldwide as more than 500 banks and many other big retail organizations agreed to support this digital payment system.

Apple iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 are also announced for India but the specific date of launch of the devices is not known. iPad Air 2 with WiFi will come for Rs. 35,900 for the 16 GB internal storage; 64 GB model for Rs. 42,900 and Rs. 49,900 for the 128 GB variant. iPad Air 2 WiFi+Cellular model will also be available in 16GB, 64 GB and 128 GB variants for Rs. 45,900, Rs. 52,900 and Rs. 59,900 respectively. Both the handsets however will be released in select countries within a week. It will be available in silver, space gray and gold color options.
