Yamaha Motor India has finally launched the most discussed two wheelers in recent times, the all new Fazer FI 2.0. The manufacturer has already introduced the FZ and FZ-S FI 2.0 variants in the Indian market and they have given a boost to the sales of the 150 CC commuter series. The new Fazer has been equipped with brand new styling apart from performance tweaks and it has been offered for just Rs. 83850 only.

Mr. Roy Kurian, The Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd, has stated in connection with the launch of the new Fazer “With the development of modern highways and increasing popularity of motorcycle tourism, the interest in motorcycles suited for touring is certainly expected to increase. Acknowledging these dynamics, we have introduced our new offering Fazer FI Version 2.0 particularly keeping the spirit of touring in mind, combining both fun and economy for the customers to ride free in the open blue sky”.

There would be no change to the tyres of the model and thus the front wheel gets the same 100/80 17M/C (52P)MRF Nylogrip Zapper FX1 tubeless tyre whereas the rear wheel gets the same 140/60 R17M/C (63P) MRF revs – y tubeless tyre. The new FI edition of the Fazer comes with some significant visual upgrades which we have seen in the FI 2.0 editions of FZ and FZ-S already. But however, the overall weight of the bike is kept under 140 kilograms as more body weight could have adverse effect on the fuel efficiency of the bike. The new Fazer comes with three vibrant colour options and they are Red Dawn, Black Hawk and White Cloud respectively.

There is no doubt is saying that the all new Fazer FI 2.0 will be a threat to rival models such as Hero Karizma, Xtreme, Honda CBR, Trigger, Unicorn, Bajaj Pulsar and TVS Apache. 2.0 is about 14% more fuel efficient than the outgoing edition.
