Asian Games 2014: Six Athletes to Look Out For-Mary Kom, PV Sindhu, Jitu Rai, Vikas Gowda, Yogeshwar Dutt, Deepika Kumari

There are only four days left for commencement of prestigious Asia Games 2014. India is sending 516 Athletes to the games. No one is however expecting big number of medals, but there are few athletes expected to bring medals and laurels to the nation.

Mary Kom: India’s ace boxer Mary Kom was five times world champion and won bronze medal at London Olympics. This time she is aiming to win gold medal at South Korea. Though she could not participate in common wealth games, she stood on top in the trails.

PV Sindhu: rising star of Indian badminton is PV Sindhu. She won medals at world championships twice consecutively. She is super form now. World champion Carolina is not participating in the game which is going to be an advantage for Sindhu. But she will face tough competition from China and Thailand top shuttlers.

Jitu Rai: He is another athlete who is capable of winning a medal. He is in good form this season. this shooter is born in Nepal and won most of the medals in this season. this 26 year shooter won 10 meters and 50 meters evens and created history. He also won gold medal in Common Wealth games. In World Championship, he won the silver medal.

Deepika Kumari: She is the top archer for India and she is also expected to won a medal at the games. In 2012 Olympics she did not cross the first round also. but she recovered fully from that bitter experience. Now she is aiming to win gold medal at South Korea.

Vikas Gowda: he is the only athlete who gets encouragement from the government. This discus thrower is from Mysore and he is hardly working to win a gold medal at Asian Games 2014. He won a gold medal in Common Wealth games. He is going to face tough competition from Iran and China athletes.

Yogeshwar Dutt: With Sushil Kumar not available for Asian Games all hopes are on Yogeshwar Dutt in wrestling. He won bronze medal at London Olympics. This Haryana wrestler also won gold medal at Common Wealth games. In 20006 Olympics he won the bronze medal. He is going to face competition from Iran, Japan and Korea wrestlers.
