TVS Scooty Zest launched for Rs. 42300 – Tackles Hero Pleasure, Yamaha Ray, Suzuki Let’s and Honda Activa

TVS Motors has been teasing Indian automotive enthusiasts with the unrevealed budget scooter model from past few months and the time for official debut of the same has arrived. The brand new ‘Scooty Zest’ has been launched officially and the manufacturer has targeted both male and female buyers from India with the lighter body weight. The manufacturer has showcased the model earlier at Delhi Auto Expo 2014 which was held in February this year.

Scooty Zest 110 CC measures around 1770 mm of length, 660 mm of width and 1139 mm of height respectively and the wheel base of the model is around 1250 mm. The suspension system of the scooter consists of telescopic forks in the front and a single shock absorber on the rear. The kerb weight of the scooter is around just 97 kilograms only whereas the storage capacity of the compartment beneath seat is around 19 litres. The manufacturer is offering tubeless tyres for both the wheels and the inclusion of parking brakes also increases its significance.

Power comes from a 109.7 CC air cooled engine which is capable of producing around 7.88 bhp power at the peak along with 8.7 Nm of torque. The respective engine was earlier seen in Jupiter and Wego scooter models and the same comes mated with a CVT transmission gear box in the new Scooty Zest. As per the information, Scooty Zest is capable of attaining 60 kmph speed from rest within just 11.1 seconds only which is pretty enough for a scooter model of the segment. TVS also claimed that the average fuel efficiency of the model is around 62 kmph and the fuel capacity of the scooter is just about 5 litres. The manufacturer is offering the new Scooty Zest in the Indian market for just around Rs. 42300 only.
