Junior NTR’s Rabhasa Review: Mass Entertainer

Junior NTR’s latest movie Rabhasa is released on Vinayaka Chaviti day. This family entertainer is directed by Santosh Srinivas and is produced by Bellamkonda Ganesh Babu. Lead actors are NTR, Samantha and Pranitha. Taman score music for the film.

Rajahmundry: NTR did not have a hit in recent times and was expecting Rabhasa to become a hit. He did not experiment with this movie and took every caution to be safe. Let us now look at the story of the movie.

NTR completes his graduation in US and comes back to India. His parents Naazar and Jayasudha want him to get married. Jayasudha wants her niece (Samantha) to be her daughter in law. She is the daughter of Shayaji Shinde, Jayasudha’s brother. NTR goes to the college where Samantha is studying and unexpectedly Pranitha enters his life. Peddireddy and Gangireddy are another two characters who enter his life. Who are these and what is the relation between them? Could NTR marry Samantha?

Junior NTR appeared in a character that has many shades such as a lover, a good son, a good human being and so on. He completely did justice to his character. As usual his fights, dances, performance are excellent. He excels in emotional scenes. He literally carried the movie on his shoulders.

Samantha’s is a glamour character. She acted according to the character. Pranitha appeared in a short role and looks sweet. One of the highlights of the movie is the character of Brahmanandam. His character enters in the second half but he entertained the audiences for the 15 to 20 minutes he appears on the screen. The scenes between NTR and Brahmanandam are also good.

Jayaprakash Reddy, Nagineedu, Shayaji Shinde, Ajay, Nazar and Jayasudha play the other characters. Shyam K Naidu’s photography is good. Photography makes the movie more attractive. Only two songs of Taman are good. Background music became help for few scenes. The production values are very rich.

Compared to first half, second half runs very slow. The story is old and routine. There are many loop holes in the story and there are many numbers of characters that confuse the audience. Plus points of the movie are junior NTR’s performance, Samantha, Pranitha’s glamour and Brahmanandam’s comedy. Routine story, unrealistic fights and average music are the minus points of the film.
