After Devdas & Ramleela It Is Bajirao Mastani For Sanjay Leela Bhansali

The name of Sanjay Leela Bhansali is related to Devdas with Shahrukh in the lead role. SLB will be adding another feather in his success cap with Bajirao Mastani.

Mumbai: Sanjay Leela Bhansali (SLB) has been a name known for successful movies like Parinda, 1942 – a love story, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Black, Devdas, Saawariya, Rowdy Rathore. Some of the films got him as producer while some others got him as director and some others as both.

SLB once again topped the movie news with his Mary Kom. This film has Priyanka Chopra portraying the life role of Mary Kom, the boxer from Manipur who got gold medal for India in 2012 winter Olympics held in London.

The medal brought more fame for Mary Kom (mother of two children by then). The commitment that she shown in real life became inspiration for many youth. Bollywood was quick to reciprocate and SLB immediately announced film based on her real life. Glamorous Priyanka Chopra has been roped in to play the role of Mary Kom in the movie. The shooting of the film has been completed and the official trailer released recently received good response from the viewers. The movie is scheduled to release in September 2014.

After Mary Kom, SLB is planning to commence work on his long pending dream project Bajirao Mastani. This project has been doing rounds for the last 2 years. Now that the script has been finalised by SLB, famous production house Erose International came forward to produce the movie at a budget of Rs.125 crores.

As on date, the star cast finalised for the movie includes Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone in the lead roles & Priyanka Chopra in another important role. The lead pair earlier appeared in Ram Leela of SL. This crime drama film directed and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali became super hit and went for many awards from different awarding agencies like Filmfare, Screen, Zee, Big Star etc.

The male lead Ranvir is flying high with his recent successes like Band Baaja Baaraat, Ladies vs RickyBahl, Bombay Talkies, Lootera, Ram-Leela, Gunday. His other projects in shooting include Finding Fanny, Dil Dhadakne Do etc.

Similarly the female lead Deepika Padukone is having recent successes like Aarakshan, Desi Boyz, Cocktail, Race2, Bombay Talkies, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, Chennai Express, Ram-Leela, Kochadaiyan etc. Her other movies under filming include Happy New Year, Tamasha, Finding Fanny etc.

The historical movie with high expectations is scheduled to go to floors in 2015.
