The megastar proved his strength in public life. His strength came out in his election campaign in seemandhra as well as on the date of voting on 30th April 2014.
Hyderabad: The mega star is proving that he is a big zero in political life. With his successful movie career, Chiranjeevi got the title of Mega Star from his fans. But his failure to convert the fan following into votes forced him to merge his Praja Rajyam Party PRP into congress.
Now the same hero from AP is incharge of congress campaign in Seemandhra region. The people of this area have been finding it very difficult to accept congress. Seeing the ire of the people of Seemandhra, many congress leaders (including sitting MLAs, MPs, and cabinet ministers) changed their loyalty overnight and they are continuing in other parties like TDP, YSRCP etc.
With the top congress leaders disappearing from the scene, Chiranjeevi accepted the responsibility of coordinating the campaign activities of the party in Seemandhra region. Along with the new PCC chief Raghuveera Reddy, Chiranjeevi conducted bus yatra with little response. Being unable to convince the people of the area, the congress played caste trick. It mentioned that the congress has been actively supporting the welfare of SC/ST/BC and hence people of those castes need to support the party in the present critical hour. With the least response even for this trick, Chiranjeevi and company found no other option than to give tickets to the fans of this hero.
Supporting giving tickets to his fans, he justified his action stating thathe is doing justice to his fans. The same fans he forgot for the last 4 years of his political career and in this critical hour, he is posing as if he is helping his fans.
Coming to the present general elections, the congress leaders in Seemandhra are caring very little for the campaign coordinator. During one of his recent trip, he realized that the response for his meetings is not up to the mark. Even the congress contestants did not bother to meet him (coordinator of campaign). This is the real power of this megastar in Seemandhra politics.
The same congress leader tried to show his ‘heroism’ during the voting in the present elections. On 30th April he tried to bypass the queue of the voters standing in line to poll their votes. When one of the voters stopped Chiranjeevi, he got shock of his life. Chiranjeevi entered the polling booth with two of his security personnel (which is not in line with the election code of conduct).
