Narendra Modi Sworn-in as 15th Prime Minister of India: Six Women in Modi Cabinet

Narendra Modi’s Era has begun. BJP leader and Varanasi MP Narendra Modi sworn-in as prime minister of India at Rashtrapati Bhavan. This colorful event was attended by SAARC leaders. Others who were present are Ansari, Abdul Kalam, Pratibha Patil, Deve Gowda, Manmohan Singh and chief ministers of several states. Nepal prime minister Manish Koirala and Pakistan prime minister Nawaz sharif also were present.

Delhi: Along with Narendra Modi, 23 cabinet ministers also took oath at the swearing-in event at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Among these six are women. Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a message to the nation through prime minister’s official website www.pmindia.nic.in. He promised that he will provide good governance to the people who voted him to power anticipating changes in the present political scenario. He requested people’s coordination in the development of the nation. He added that the details of his programs can be known through the official website which will be a bridge between people and the prime minister.

Lucknow MP Rajnath Singh took oath as cabinet minister in Modi government. He has experience of working as central minister in the past. After Rajnath Singh, Sushma Swaraj, Vidisha MP also took oath. She was elected as Rajya Sabha MP twice and as Lok Sabha MP four times. Arun Jaitley is also one of the members in the cabinet of Modi and he is a Rajya Sabha MP. He has the experience of serving the nation as law minister.

Venkaiah Naidu, from Andhra Pradesh is another member who took oath as cabinet minister in Modi government. He is a Rajya Sabha MP and has the experience of working as Rural Development minister. Another leader from Andhra Pradesh who was inducted in the cabinet of Modi is Ashok Gajapati Raju who is elected from Vijayanagaram constituency as MP on behalf of Telugu Desam party. He has long years of experience in Andhra Pradesh politics.

Other members who took oath are Nitin Gadkari, Karnataka ex chief minister Sadanand Gowda, Madhya Pradesh ex chief minister Uma Bharathi, Najma Heptullah, Gopinath Munde, Bihar leader Ram Vilas Paswan and UP MP Kalraj Mishra.
