Congress defeat is complete in Andhra Pradesh. Congress party who could not find candidates for contesting as ward members faced humility in the assembly elections 2014. The party could not win a single assembly seat or a Lok Sabha seat in Andhra Pradesh.

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh people taught Congress party a lesson that political leader should respect the opinions of the public. Congress is not even in second place in Andhra Pradesh. Congress tried to make the people believe that there is role of other political parties also in bifurcation of state. But Seemandhra people who were against bifurcation of state from the beginning did not believe the Congress leaders, ministers showed exit to them in elections. They did not vote the congress party even when Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi came for election campaign

Most of the congress leaders left the party after the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and it became difficult for Congress party to even select new candidates to contest in polls. Those who are in the party also refused to contest. Finally, twenty four congress leaders contested for Andhra Pradesh assembly and nine contested for Lok Sabha. But the contestants did not even went for poll campaign fearing public wrath.

Congress adamantly took the decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh hoping to get benefit from YSRCP party. Now many people are of the opinion that this historical defeat is the own doing of Congress. Andhra Pradesh was always a big support for Congress party and Congress lost this state due to its arrogant decisions.
