NIT Inviting applications for M.Sc programme: Apply before 2nd May 2014

NIT is inviting applications for M.Sc programme for the upcoming academic year. Apply before 2nd May 2014. Exam will be held on 3rd June 2014.

Calicut: NIT (National Institute of Technology) is inviting applications for M.Sc programme for the upcoming academic year. To get admission in this institution candidate need to write entrance examination.  This entrance test will be held on 3rd June 2014. Eligibility criteria have to be checked by the candidates before applying for this examination. Based on the courses offering eligibility criteria differ. Courses offering are M.Sc Chemistry, M.Sc Physics and M.Sc Mathematics. For the M.Sc Chemistry eligible to be fulfilled by the applying candidates is completion of bachelor’s degree with chemistry as the main subject and mathematics as one of the subsidiaries or completion of graduation degree with Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics with 60 % marks to be attained by General category candidates and 50 % to be obtained by SC/ ST candidates.

For M.Sc Physics, eligibility criteria is completion of bachelors degree with 60 % marks with Physics as main subject and mathematics as secondary subject or completion of bachelors degree with mathematics and Physics as main subjects with 50 % of marks by SC/ ST candidates. For M.Sc with Mathematics, candidates should complete B.Sc degree with statistics, applied mathematics and Mathematics as one of the main subject or mathematics as one of the subjects with 60 % marks to be attained by general category candidates and 50 % marks to be attained by SC / ST candidates.

Eligible and interested candidates need to apply for these courses through online. After successful submission of the form, it had to be taken print out. Print out copy along with demand draft to be sent to The Chairperson PG Admissions, National Institute of Technology, Calicut, NIT Campus, PO Calicut. This should be reached to the university before 7th May 2014. Demand Draft should be drawn for Rs.600 for open & OBC and Rs.300 for  SC /ST Candidates in favour of The Director NIT Calicut which should be payable at Calicut.

After successful completion of examination on 3rd June 2014 admission will start from 25th June 2014. For more details candidates need to visit at the website www.nit.ac.in
