23.04.2014: In a non active galaxy, scientists had discovered First pair of Super Massive black holes in orbit around one another. The European Space Agency’s X-ray Multi Mirror Mission, XMM Newton had discovered these black holes.

23.04.2014: Telangana State will face 3000 MW power shortages immediately after the formation of the new state on 2nd June 2014. Fappci (Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry) had released a report that with the increase in demand, power shortage could scale up to 11000 MW.

To Prevent Misuse of Public funds by providing advertisement: SC set guidelines

23.04.2014: To prevent misuse of public funds by the government and its authorities by providing advertisement in television and newspapers, Supreme Court of India had set a 3 member committee to frame guidelines. Advertisements were doing to get a political mileage. Committee members were Senior advocate Ranjit Kumar, TK Viswanathan former Lok Sabha Secretary, NR Madhava Menon, Director of National Judicial Academy Bhopal. Within 3 weeks committee need to submit the report.

GIRO Advisory Group submitted report to RBI

23.04.2014: GIRO (Government Internal Revenue Order) Advisory Group submitted report to RBI under the Chairmanship of Prof.Umesh Bellur. To implement a national GIRO based Indian Bill Payment System, RBI had set up this group in October 2013.

World Bank approved for $1.1 billion for double line between Bhaupur and Mughalsarai

23.04.2014: For 393 km long electrified double line between Bhaupur and Mughalsarai sections of the eastern dedicated rail freight corridor, World Bank approved $ 1.1 billion as a second phase of the loan agreement. This agreement will be signed in the month of June.

Internet Privacy Law passed by Brazil

23.04.2014: A comprehensive legislation on Internet privacy for both service providers and Internet Users was passed by Brazil. This law had stated all the rights, principles, duties and guarantees. Earlier it was approved by Lower house of deputies. Now it was approved by the Senate. Aim of this law is to balance web user’s rights to privacy and protection of personal data and freedom of expression.
