West Bengal: West Bengal Staff Selection Commission is conducting written test for the recruitment of Assistant Sub Inspector of Excise under the Department of Excise. Though only 246 posts are available huge number of candidates applied for these posts. Applications were accepted till 22nd January 2014 both in offline and in online mode. It is the time to have the admit cards which is essential to write the examination. In the admit cards instructions will be mentioned along with date, time and venue of the examination. All the candidates who had applied for this examination are seriously involved in the preparation of the examination. It is multiple choice type examination. Duration of this examination is 2 hours. Candidates who had successes in this examination need to undergone the process of Physical measurement test and Interview. This interview marks allotted is 10. Finally candidates will be selected based on the performance shown in the written test and interview.

For this examination candidates need to concentrate in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Civics, General Knowledge both national and International, Reasoning both verbal & non verbal, computers. Total marks allotted for the written test is 150 marks and 10 marks will be allotted to interview. Candidates who have completed Post Graduation in Maths or Mathematical statistics, Degree of Bachelor of Veterinary Science & AH (Animal Husbandry) are eligible to apply for this examination.
