Rolls Royce Ghost ‘V-Specification’ Edition with Twin turbo 6.6L V12 launched for Rs. 4.66 Crores

Rolls Royce India has launched a special edition variant of the well reputed ‘Ghost’ in the Indian market that would be available for sale for a limited period only. The limited edition has been named as ‘V – SPECIFICATION’ and it has been priced around Rs. 30 lakhs costlier than the base variant. The new Ghost is more powerful than the former edition and it comes with exclusive interior as well.

Mr. Torsten Muller – Otvos, the Chief Executive for Rolls Royce Motor Cars has stated in connection with the launch of the limited edition Ghost “The limited edition series celebrates one of Ghost’s defining characteristics; the exquisite 6.6 litre Rolls Royce V12 engine. Since its introduction in 2009, an extraordinary marriage of assured presence and remarkable driving dynamics has endeared Ghost to a new generation of highly discerning business men and woman, ensuring the car’s position as the statement of choice for a growing band of successful entrepreneurs around the world”.

Under the hood, the new Ghost V – Specification is fitted with a 6.6 litre twin turbo charged V12 engine that is capable of generating around 593 hp at the peak along with 780 Nm of torque. Ghost V – Specification edition is around 30 hp powerful than the base edition and it is capable of accelerating to 100 kmph from rest within just 4.7 seconds only. The manufacturer has restricted the top speed of the model to 250 kmph electronically. Rolls Royce has also claimed that the new Ghost V Specification edition is much fuel efficient with 7.35 kmpl mileage on a whole.

There are very few changes on the exterior of the vehicle such as change of badges on the rear and etc. The manufacturer is offering V Spec Ghost with full alloy wheels and the buyer can choose among a longer wheel base version and a standard wheel base version. Steel finish to the interior edges and ‘V – Specification’ badges on the dash board are some more changes made to the model when compared with the former edition. Mr. Herfried Hosenoehrl, the General Manager for Emerging Markets, Rolls Royce Motor Cars has stated “Ghost and Ghost Extended Wheelbase have been the most successful models in India for Rolls Royce to date. Ghost has been feted by the new maharajas of business, celebrities and other highly successful individuals”.
