CSIR UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) 2014: Applications available from 10th February 2014/ Important Dates
CSIR UGC NET Examination is conducting in order to select researchers and lecturers. Applications are available from 10th February 2014. Date of Single MCQ examination is on 22nd June 2014.
Delhi: CSIR (Council of Scientific & Industrial Research) is the chief industrial research and development organization in India. CSIR conducts CSIR UGC NET at the national level for post graduate candidates who wish to qualify for University level teaching jobs in India or for the admission to PhD research programmes. This examination conducts twice in the year. CSIR is conducting this examination with the help of University Grants Commission (UGC). Examination is conducting in order to select researchers and lecturers.
As per the notification released, completion of M.Sc / Integrated BS MS/ MBBS/ B.Pharma/ B.Tech / BE / BS – 4years Programme or equivalent degree / BSc (Hons) or students enrolled in integrated MS PH D Programme with minimum 55% of marks for general category candidates and 50 % of marks for Visually handicapped, Physically handicapped and SC/ ST candidates. Candidates with bachelor’s degree whether Science Engineering or any other discipline are eligible to apply for fellowship. Fellowship will be provided only after enrolled or registered of Ph D or Integrated Ph D Programme within the validity period of two years.
For this examination, general candidates need to pay Rs.400, SC/ ST/ Physically Handicapped (PH)/ Visually Handicapped (VH) students need to pay Rs.100 and Other Backward Classes students need to pay Rs.200. Interested and eligible candidates need to download the application form from the official website of CSIR. Duly filled application forms along with examination fee need are to send to Sr. Controller of Examination, Human Resource Development Group, Examination Unit, CSIP Complex, Library Avenue, Pusa, New Delhi.
Online registration for this examination will start from 10th February 2014. Online registration will ends on 4th March 2014. Online application fee can be paid till 3rd March 2014. Duly filled application forms or print out copy of the online application should reach before 8th march 2014. Some candidates were residing in far flung areas. Those candidates application forms are to be received before 14th March 2014. Date of Single MCQ examination is on 22nd June 2014.
