Nokia Lumia 1320 vs Samsung Galaxy Note 2: Which one is better?

Today we compare the Lumia 1320 and Note 2 which will be battling it out against each other for the choice of a better phablet.

New Delhi: Competition is rising in the market and in order to maintain their position Samsung and Nokia are working quite hard. Nokia has just launched its budget phablet, the Lumia 1320 for Rs 23,999 and the yesteryear Samsung flagship, the Note 2 is available for about Rs 28,000 and makes for a worthy competitor. Let us see which one is better. Here is a comparative look at the Nokia’s Lumia 1320 and Samsung’s Galaxy Note 2 devices:

Display: Lumia 1320 sports a capacitive IPS LCD ClearBlack multi touch display of 6 inches that offers a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. On the other hand, Note 2 features Super AMOLED capacitive multi touch display of 5.5 inches with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.

Processor: Lumia 1320 has been powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual core processor of 1.7 GHz. Note 2 has been equipped with Exynos 4412 Cortex A9 quad core processor of 1.6 GHz.

Software: Lumia 1320 functions on Windows Phone 8 Black OS while Note 2 functions on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean platform.

Memory: Lumia 1320 comes with a RAM of 1 GB, inbuilt storage space of 8 GB and up to 64 GB expandable storage. While, Note 2 offers a RAM of 2 GB, inbuilt storage space of 16/ 32/ 64 GB and up to 62 GB expandable storage.

Camera: Lumia 1320 comes with a primary camera of 5 mega pixels with LED flash and a front facing VGA shooter. Note 2 carries a primary camera of 8 mega pixels with LED flash and a front facing shooter of 1.9 mega pixels.

Connectivity Features: Both the devices offer connectivity features like GPRS, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, micro USB, 2G, 3G and 4G. Note 2 also provides NFC feature.

Other Features: Both the devices feature a 3.5 mm AV jack, FM Radio, accelerometer, compass and proximity sensor. Lumia 1320 comes with Dolby Headphone sound enhancement feature while Note 2 offers S Pen features.

Battery: Lumia 1320 works on a battery of 3400 mAh while Note 2 works on a battery of 3100 mAh.

Our Take: After considering the two devices, my verdict is in favor of Samsung Galaxy Note 2 as it features quad core processor, more RAM and inbuilt storage capacity.
