Micromax to Launch Octa Core Smartphone A350 in January? A350 Spotted on Antutu

An upcoming smartphone of Micromax with model number A350 is spotted on Antutu benchmark. Micromax A350 is likely to be an octa core processor powered smartphone with 2 GB RAM. It is likely to be released into the market with the name Canvas 5.

Mumbai: The first octa core smartphone in India is launched by Intex just a day ago and today we have seen another octa core phone from a domestic mobile manufacturer on Antutu. Micromax seems to be preparing to give an answer to the Intex Aqua Octa smartphone with its own smartphone dubbed as A350. The benchmark score of the device is 26,866. The handset is likely to be released into the market with the name Canvas 5.

This is not the first time that we heard rumors about A350. Earlier, it was reported by a website that Micromax is going to launch an octa core processor powered handset soon. This was alleged to have a full HD resolution display and the processor is combined with 2 GB RAM. The website also revealed that the launching of the handset will be in January.

Gionee also announced an octa core processor smartphone and said it will be launched in India soon. It is dubbed as E7 mini. This year, the Indian mobile market is likely to be flooded with octa core processor smartphones as Karbonn, Smart Namo, WickedLeak are also expected to have plans to launch smartphones with this processor.

The Antutu score of Micromax A350 mobile indicates that it is likely to sport 1.7 GHz MediaTek MT6592 chipset and will be combined with 2 GB RAM. The latest device that was launched by Micromax in the Canvas series was Turbo which was powered by a quad core processor. It was leaked immediately after the launching of this phone that Micromax is coming up with octa core phone in 2014. Founder of Micromax Rahul Sharma said in an interview that the company will be launched 4G LTE smartphone soon and it now has to be seen whether the Canvas 5 will be the device that is powered by octa core processor and will support 4G LTE also.
