BlackBerry Q5 Price Slashed: BB Q5 Now available for Rs. 19,990 under New Year Bonanza Offer

In a bid to increase its sales and regain the lost position in Indian smartphone market, Blackberry is slashing the prices of its smartphones. The latest in the list is Q4, whose price is slashed and is now offered for Rs. 19,990. This is a limited period offer for the New Year.

New Delhi: Blackberry India announced limited period New Year Bonanza offer on its Q5 smartphone. Under the offer, customers can purchase the handset for Rs. 19,990. The handset was selling for a price of Rs. 24,990. According to the company sources, BlackBerry is committed towards the Indian market and wants its product to reach the consumers at affordable prices.

BlackBerry sales in India are not very encouraging in recent times. The company has to compete with the likes of Apple and Samsung to grab the smartphone market share in India.

BlackBerry Q5 comes with 3.1 inch display and the type of display is IPS LCD. Display resolution is 720 x 720 pixels and 328 ppi is the pixel density. It is powered by 1.2 GHz dual core processor and it backed by 2 GB RAM that ensured decent performance. Internal storage provided is 8 GB and there is facility to expand the memory up to 64 GB via micro SD card. It comes loaded with BB10 operating system and it can be upgraded to v10.1.

BlackBerry Q5 comes with a QWERTY keypad and the connectivity features of the handset include WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth and aGPS. There is also 3.5 mm audio jack. Recently, BlackBerry also slashed the price of Q10, Z10 and Z30 devices in an effort to grab the lost market share.
