Sachin Creates Another Record after Retirement: Becomes Youngest, First Sports Person to Receive Bharat Ratna
Government of India announced Bharat Ratna for Sachin Tendulkar. It is a coincidence that Bharat Ratna is announced for Sachin on the day of his retirement. Sachin dedicated this award to his mother. Sachin retired from all formats of Cricket today after 24 years of long career.
New Delhi: Indian government announced Bharat Ratna, highest civilian award to Sachin, for his contribution to cricket. This was announced to SNR Rao also who is scientific advisor to prime minister of India. this was announced by Rashtrapati Bhavan today. Master retired from first class cricket and it is a coincidence that Bharat Ratna for him is announced today.
Sachin though retired from cricket is going to create another record as the first sports person in Indian history to be awarded Bharat Ratna. He is also the youngest person to receive the honor. Several political leaders and people from other sectors are demanding that Sachin be given the award. Hockey player Dhyanchand was also in the race.
Fans are happy that Bharat Ratna is announced to Sachin on his retirement day. Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar was born in Mumbai. His parents are Ramesh Tendulkar and Rajani. He served Indian cricket for twenty four years. He created many records. He is the first cricketer to play two hundred tests and is the first batsman to make hundred centuries in international cricket. He is also the first cricketer from Mumbai to score highest runs in one day matches. Sachin Tendulkar thanked the Indian government and said that he is dedicated it to his mother.
Meanwhile India won the second test match played at Wankhede stadium, which is also the two hundredth match for Sachin. Team India members carried Sachin on their shoulders around the ground. Sachin was seen wiping his tears.
India won the second test match against west Indies by innings 126 runs. With this India won the test series 2-0. West Indies were all out for 182 runs. Later India scored 495 runs in the first innings. In the second innings, West Indies was all out for 187 runs. Indian bower Ojha claimed 5 wickets, Ashwin took 4 and Shami claimed a wicket. Dhoni also made Sachin bowl few overs in the last test.
