Verizon announced its own affordable android tablet Ellipsis 7. This is the first product in the Ellipsis series. The handset will be available for purchase from November 7 on Verizon. It is priced $249.99 off contract. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system and sports 7 inch display.
New York: Ellipsis 7 is the new android tablet that is offered by Verizon Wireless with its self branding. This is the first ever tablet from Verizon and first in the Ellipsis series. The tablet can be purchased from Verizon from November 7 and it will be offered with a price tag of $249.99.
The handset comes with 7 inch display. The tablet is powered by 1.2 GHz quad core processor. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly bean operating system. It is provided with 8 GB of internal storage and there is provision to expand the storage up to via micro SD card slot. It comes with 4G LTE support. It also comes with VGA front facing camera and 3.2 megapixel primary camera. In a press release, Verizon said that the tablet comes with new features and affordable price. This is exclusively available on Verizon and is easy to carry.
The price of Ellipsis 7 tablet off contract is $249.99 which is more than the price of Nexus 7 which can be purchased for $229 from Google. Verizon will be competing with the other tablet manufacturers in the tablet sector such as Apple and Samsung. There is no clear information from Verizon on what type of devices will be released under Ellipsis brand.
