Telangana Note Ready: Central Cabinet May Approve Telangana Note Today

National news channels reported that the Telangana note is ready and will be discussed in the central cabinet meeting today. The note is likely to be approved by the cabinet. The note says that Telangana will be formed with Hyderabad as the capital and the capital for Seemandhra will be decided by the state government of Andhra Pradesh.

New Delhi: According to reliable sources, the cabinet note on Telangana is read and it will be discussed in the central cabinet meeting today at 5.30pm. National media is reporting that the 22 page Telangana note is ready.

After the cabinet note is approved in the meeting, it will be sent to the president and then within a week or ten days, it will be sent to the Andhra Pradesh assembly for approval. According to the national news channels, congress high command is observing the developments in Andhra Pradesh and decided to speed up the process of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

As per the information available, the cabinet note says that Telangana will be formed with Hyderabad as the capital and Andhra Pradesh government will have to take the decision on Seemandhra capital. Another note is ready for common capital issue. It is also learnt that central ministers committee will be formed to solve the issues of river waters and others. Central cabinet will approve the Telangana note today evening and send it to the state assembly.

After the announcement of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh by congress working committee on September 30, AP NGOs are on strike since two months and lakhs of Seemandhra people are opposing the division of state fearing water problems. Meanwhile seemandhra MPs and ministers are angry with the news that cabinet note is ready and said that they will oppose the note in the cabinet meeting.

The Telangana cabinet note was prepared late night and it will discuss in the cabinet meeting today. It was earlier reported that the cabinet note is not ready and Shinde is waiting for the recommendations of AK Antony committee.

The bifurcation of the state decision of congress working committee is creating tensions between the political leaders of two regions. Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy is clearly against the bifurcation of state and said he will not cooperate for this.
