Mr.Ranga Rao Former Andhra Pradesh Education Minister is no more
01.08.2013: Mr. Ranga Rao , Eldest Son of Late Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao is no more. He died of heart related ailment. In 1990, he acted as Andhra Pradesh Education Minister. At that time Vijay Bhaskar was the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Currently he is acting as a member of the AP Legislative Council. He was 73.
Central Bank of India New CMD is Rajeev Rishi
01.08.2013: New Chairman and Managing Director of Central Bank of India is Rajeev Rishi. Previously he acted as Indian Bank Executive Director. Before that he was OBC (Oriental Bank of Commerce) General Manager.
10% disinvestment by Government in IOC
01.08.2013: Proposal for 10% disinvestment in IOC (Indian Oil Corporation) by the Government was approved by the Cabinet Committee. Offer For Sale route has chosen to sale the Government stake. Man Mohan Singh who is an Indian Prime Minister has taken this decision in the Cabinet Meeting. This sale will fetch Rs.3840 crores to the exchequer. Currently Government stake in IOC is 78.92 %. Five Merchant bankers will deals the sale of stake. Those bankers are JM Financials, SBI Capital, UBS Securities, HSBC, Citi Bank.
7.8 Lakh Shares of FTIL sold by Reliance Capital Trustee Company
01.08.2013: Reliance Capital Trustee Company was having 11.91 lakh shares of FTIL. Out of which 7.8 Lakh Shares of FTIL sold by Reliance Capital Trustee Company on NSE (National Stock Exchange) and the remaining 4.10 lakh shares were offloaded on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Liberalisation of FDI Norms, Cabinet Approved
01.08.2013: With the intension to boost the economy, Cabinet has given approval for the liberalisation of FDI (Foreign Direct Investments) Norms. Cabinet has approved but relax norms on FDI will be decided by Man Mohan Singh, Prime Minister , in the next meeting which will held on August 16th. It is expecting that Telecom sector will get 100 % relaxation of FDI’s.
Sales target by Kerala Khadi Board is Rs.50 crores
01.08.2013: During Ramzan and Onam festival seasons, Kerala Khadi and village Industries Board set sales target as Rs.50 crores. In this festival season they were conducing meals. Vice Chairman of the Board is KP Norudeen. He has stated that during last year in this season Board sales are Rs.35 crores.
India won against Zimbabwe
01.08.2013: India won over Zimbabwe easily in the fourth One Day International as a part of 5 ODI series. India is in the lead by winning 4 matches in 5 ODI Series. India won the match by 9 wickets. Zimbabwe made 145 runs. This target was chased by India in just 30.5 over’s.
India’s First aircraft carrier, INS Vikrant will launch on August 12th
01.08.2013: INS Vikrant is India’s First aircraft carrier. From Kochi Shipyard this will launch on August 12th. In the capability to build such vessels India placed 5th. First 4 places were occupied by US, Russia, Britain and France. By 2018, this will introduce into Indian Navy. Admiral Robin Dhowan who is an Indian Navy vice Chief, stated that 75 % of construction work and 83 % of fabrication work will be completed by the time ship goes into water.
Light Conductors having the Capacity to Carry larger Current: New research by AIST
01.08.2013: National Institute of AIST (Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, Japan) has stated that Light Conductors are having the capacity to carry lager currents. These light conductors will be next generation conductors. This will be made with Carbon Nanotubes which makes conductors lighter and to carry larger current.
XKeyscore have significant Indian connections
01.08.2013: The Guardian Newspaper has revealed details about Internet connections of US National Security Agency. Through international program known as XKeyscore, agency is getting information through internet without judicial authorisation. XKeyscore is a widest reaching system which helps to develop intelligence from the internet. In one month period of 2012, XKeyscore has collected and stored 41 billion records. It has significant Indian connections.
IIT Madras developed -200 degrees centigrade refrigerator
01.08.2013 : Prof.G.Venkatarathnam IIT Madras has stated that by using single stage vapour compression refrigerator which is usually used in the domestic air conditioners and refrigerator they have achieved temperature -200 degrees C. Compressors Working Pressure and air conditioners pressure is same. Now they were trying to achieve -100 degrees C by using Conventional cascade refrigeration system.
Ksheera Bhagya Scheme launched by Siddaramaiah
01.08.2013: Ksheera Bhagya Scheme launched by Siddaramaiah, Chief Minister of Karnataka. Through this scheme 65 lakh school children along with 39 lakh anganwadi children will receive 150ml of milk 3 times in a week. In order to improve the malnutrition among the children this scheme was launched. TB Jayachandra who is the Minister for Animal Husbandry and Fisheries was also participated for this program.
