Alcatel officially launched One Touch Idol and Idol Mini handsets in India. There were many rumors about these two devices. Both the handsets run on Android operating system. They come with slim design.

Pune: Alcatel has come up with two new handsets Alcatel One Touch Idol S and Alcatel One Touch Idol Mini. There were lot of rumors about these devices since many days. These two new handsets come with very stylish and slim design. Alcatel Idol Mini is only 7.9 mm thick and the Idol S is less slim than Idol Mini with just 7.4 mm thickness.

Alcatel Idol Mini Specifications

Alcatel Idol Mini comes with a display of 4.3 inches. The display resolution is 480 x 854 pixels. The handset is powered by 1.3 GHz dual core processor. The handset will be available in two versions. One with a single SIM version and another with dual SIM capabilities. It will run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system. Coming to the multimedia features, there is a rear camera of 5 megapixels. There is also VGA front facing camera. There are light sensor and proximity sensors. It is provided with 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage. Memory can be expanded up to 32 GB via micro SD. YouTube and Picasa comes in-built in the handset. The battery under the hood is 1700 mAh and gives a talk time of 20 hours and standby of 22.5 days. The handset is offered in silver, cranberry pink and slate colors.

Alcatel Idol S Specifications

The display size of Idol S handset is 4.7 inches and the type of display is IPS. The screen resolution is 720 x 1280 pixels. It is powered by 1.2 GHz ducal core processor supported by 1 GB of RAM. This handset also runs on Android 4.2 Jelly bean operating system. It comes with 8 megapixel rear camera and 1.3 megapixel front facing camera. It is possible to record1080 p video with the rear camera. The handset can be purchased in several colors such as Fresh rose, slate and cherry red.
