AP Panchayat Elections 2013 Notification, Schedule Released: Panchayat Elections to be held in Three Phases

Andhra Pradesh state election commissioner released the notification and schedule for Panchayat elections. The elections will be held in three phases. District collector will issue the notifications in districts on 9.07.2013.

Hyderabad: Panchayat election notification is released. Andhra Pradesh state election commission P Ramakanth Reddy released the Panchayat election notification and scheduled yesterday. The elections will be held in three phases. District collectors will issue the election notifications in various districts on July 9. Polling will be held in three phases on July 23, 27 and 31. Nominations will be accepted for all three phases from July 9 to July 13. Last date for withdrawal of nominations is July 17.

Elections will be held for 21,491 village Panchayat Sarpanch posts and 2,17,578 war members. The election will be held based on ballet paper and for this 2,19,753 polling centres have been set up. 3.94 crore voters will utilize their right to vote. There are one crore ninety seven lakh women voters and one crore ninety six lakh male voters.

Nominations for Panchayat elections will be accepted from 10.30 to 5.00 pm. Election polling will be held from 7,00 am to 1.00 pm. Counting will begin on the same day at 2.00 pm. Election code came into implementation from 3rd July, 2013.
