Tokyo: Sharp launched Aquos Pad SH-08E Android tablet on NTT DoCoMo in Japan. This is an android tablet with full HDs screen of 7 inches.

Aquos Pad SH-08E sports 1.7 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor. The display resolution is 1920 x 1200 pixels IGZO display. It supports Wi-Fi, NFC, mobile TV and also is LTE capable. It has a 4200 mAh battery. It is provided with 8.1 megapixel rear camera. The device runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system. The device features TV tuning capabilities. The body of the device is designed to be water and dust resistant. It also supports voice calling.

There is no information from Sharp on whether the new device will be available outside Japan. It is likely that Aquos Pad SH-008E will be available in Japan from July, 2013.

Sharp is also introducing a smartphone codenamed Sharp Aquos Phone Zeta with 4.8 inch full HD display pane. It also runs on 1.7 GHz quad core snapdragon 600 along with 2 GB of memory. It is provided with 32 GB of internal memory. It comes with a 13 megapixel camera at rear. It comes packed with a 2600 mAh battery under the hood.
