Micromax A110Q Canvas 2 Plus vs Micromax A110 Canvas 2: Which One to Choose?
Bangalore: Micromax, an India based smartphone manufacturer is geared up to set the phablet market segment on fire. Seeing the launch pattern of Micromax, it can be said so as the company is constantly unveiling new phablets to attract the consumers with different needs.
Well, in January, when its rival Samsung was about to unveil the Galaxy Grand Duos in India, Micromax launched the A116 Canvas HD at a low price tag of Rs 13,999. Now, though the handset is talked about much, there are few followers who have also come up with quad core processor and more.
Similarly, early this month, Micromax came up with A111 Canvas Doodle and now, it has launched A110Q Canvas 2 Plus. Both are quad core phablets with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS and dual SIM support. The latest offering is the successor to A110 Canvas 2, which was launched in 2012 and is priced at Rs 12,100.
To make it clear on what are the differences between the two phablets, here is a comparison between the two.
Both Canvas 2 and A110Q Canvas 2 Plus sport a 5 inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display. While Canvas 2 has a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, A110Q Canvas 2 Plus boasts 854 x 480 pixel resolution.
The Canvas 2 has a 1GHz dual core processor whereas A110Q Canvas 2 Plus is based on a 1.2GHz quad core MediaTek MT6589 processor.
Both the phablets are based on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS and hence, they will offer a similar user experience.
There is an 8-megapixel rear camera on both the phablets. When it comes to the front camera, A110 Canvas 2 comes with a VGA front camera and the A110Q Canvas 2 Plus has a 2-megapixel front camera.
A110Q Canvas 2 Plus has 2GB internal storage, 512MB RAM and a micro SD card supporting up to 32GB additional storage. On the other hand, Canvas 2 packs 4GB internal storage, 1GB RAM and a micro SD card up to 32GB.
Both the Micromax phablets feature 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB and GPS internet connectivity.
Again, when it comes to power management, A110 Canvas 2 and A110Q Canvas 2 Plus are equipped with a 2,000 mAh battery.
As the predecessor – A110 Canvas 2 is available at Rs 9,999, the A110Q Canvas 2 Plus is priced quite high at Rs 12,999. Analyzing the specs, it clear that the difference between the two are the addition of a quad core processor and a better front camera for improved video calling experience.
