Hyderabad: JEE Main 2013 results are announced by CBSE. Nearly 1 lakh students appeared for JEE Main. Nearly 9 lakh students appeared for the exam in offline method and 1.5 candidates wrote the exam in online method. CBSE announced the marks secured in JEE Main and the information whether the candidate is qualified for JEE Advanced or not.
Top 1,50,000 candidates in JEE Main are eligible to appear for JEE Advance. Fifty percent candidates (75,750) were selected from JEE Main Common Merit List. 27% candidates were selected from OBC-NCL, 15% from SC candidates and 7.5% were selected from SC candidates. Common merit list cut off marks are 113, OBC candidates cut off marks are decided s 70, SC candidates cut off marks are decided as 59 and cut off marks of ST candidates is 45.. JEE Min Paper 2 results will be announced later.
JEE main ranks are announced for admission into engineering and architectural courses. JEE Main marks are given 60% weightage and board exam marks are given 40% weightage to decide the rank. The final ranks will be announced before 7th July, it is informed. Rank cards will be available in the website from 8th July. These will also be sent by post to the candidates from 12th July, 2013.
Top 1,50,000 candidates in JEE Mains are eligible to apply for JEE Advanced exam. JEE Advance will be conducted from 2nd June, 2013.Candidates who are qualified should register online at http://jeeadvonline.iitd.ac.in or http://jeeadv.iitd.ac.in/ between 8th May and 13th May. Fee for JEE Advanced must be paid before 14th May, 2013. The fee can be paid at any of the SBI branches after completing the procedure of online registration. Fee for General category, OBC and male candidates is Rs. 1800 and for sc/ST/PwD male candidates the fee is Rs. 900. Female candidates need not pay any fee for the exam. The date of JEE Advanced examination from 2nd June, 2013.
After online registration and paying the fee, the candidates will be able to download the admit card from 15th May to 31st May, 2013. The candidates who carry the downloaded admit cards will only be allowed to write JEE Advanced exam. They will be issued the original admit card in the examination centre.
