Honda Amaze Sedan to be unveiled on 11th April – Expected to be priced around Rs. 4.9 lakhs to Rs. 7.5 lakhs
New Delhi: One of the most awaited sedan’s of the year in the Indian market, the Honda Amaze is going to be unveiled five days prior to the date announced earlier, reported the Overdrive magazine.
As per the information, the manufacturer has been confident about their upcoming launch Amaze, a sub four meter sedan. Earlier, it was informed that Amaze is going to be launched on 16th April but due to the outrageous demand for the model, Honda has decided to make it available in stores five days early.
Honda has not ever made a diesel car for the Indian market so far and Amaze is going to be the first from the manufacturer. Thus both customers as well as the manufacturer are very excited about the Amaze sedan that has been developed basing on the popular hatchback model of Honda, the Brio. It comes equipped with a 1.5 liter diesel engine that gives power output of 90 bhp.
City is one of the most popular sedans of the Japanese automobile giant in the Indian market and Brio has also been very successful in its class. The report published by Overdrive also stated that Honda has started the production of Amaze sedan in the month of January this year and has targeted to produce more than 10 thousand units per month. Honda has never compromised with the supply capabilities and especially in case of the successful models Brio and City. Thus, the manufacturer is keen on following the same strategy for Amaze sedan too.
Already 10 thousand units of Amaze are available in the ware houses of India which are ready for sale. Honda is capable of increasing the production volume up to 20 thousand units per month as per the requirement. Maruti Suzuki’s Swift DZire is expected to be the major rival for the Amaze sedan in India.
Swift DZire is available in the price range of Rs. 4.9 lakhs to Rs. 7.5 lakhs and thus Honda Amaze is also expected to be priced in the same range.
