JNU Admission Forms Available From Thursday, Entrance Exams in May

New Delhi: Jawaharlal Nehru University, one of the most prestigious universities of India, has announced the admission schedule for the 2013-14 academic session. The admission forms will be available from Thursday and the Entrance Exams for different courses will begin from May 18.

JNU conducts the exam ‘JNU ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (JNUEE)’ for its own courses, as well as the University also organizes entrance exam ‘Combined Entrance Exam For Biotechnology (CEEB)’ on behalf of participating universities in 51 cities all over India as well as one overseas  center in Kathmandu. The entrance exam is scheduled on May 18, 19, 20 and 21, 2013.


CEEB offers admission to M.Sc. (Biotechnology), M.Sc. (Agri.) Biotechnology/M.V.Sc and M.Tech (Biotechnology). Through JNUEE admission is done for various courses of School of International Studies, School of Language, Literature and Culture Studies, School of Social Sciences, School of Life Sciences, School of Environmental Sciences, School of Computer and Systems Sciences, School of Physical Sciences, School of Arts and Aesthetics, School of Computational and Integrative Sciences, School of Biotechnology, Centre of Sanskrit Studies, Centre for Molecular Medicine and Centre for the study of law and Governance. The University also conducts some part time courses that are available only in the Delhi Center.

The application process is available both online and offline. Forms are available on the University’s website or can be obtained by sending the demand draft through the post. The online application process will be closed on March 23 and the closing date of submission of completed offline application form is March 28. The printed online application form is also to be submitted within March 28.

The University has also announced the schedule for direct admission to PhD programs. For the monsoon semester the forms should be submitted before February 15 and for the winter semester before October 14.
