10,917 New Teacher Posts to be filled by DSC 2012 Candidates
Hyderabad: State government of Andhra Pradesh sanctioned 10,917 new teacher posts under Sarva Siksha Abhiyan. G O 43 was issued to this effect on 23rd February, 2013. There are 8,839 secondary grade teacher posts. 149 language pandit posts, 1929 school assistant posts.
Sarva siksha Abhiyan project direct sent proposal to the Andhra Pradesh state government to allot the said posts. According to RTE these posts are to be filled by March, 2013. Pay scale for SGTs, Language pundits will be Rs. 10,900 – 31,550 and for School assistant the pay scale will be Rs. 14,860 – 39,540.
The new teacher posts approved by the Andhra Pradesh state government will be filled by the candidates selected through DSC-2012. Government has ordered education director to take necessary steps to fill the teacher posts as soon as possible. According to the order issued by the government, these posts will be allotted to DSC 2012 teachers. These teachers are already given postings in existing vacancies. Since these candidates will be given posting in the newly allotted posts, nearly 10,917 posts will become vacant. These will be filled by conducting a DSC.
As per the rules of right of education act, 38,319 posts were issued under Sarva Siksha Abhiyan till 211-12. Government has given permission to fill 27,402 posts till 2008 DSC. Remaining 10,917 posts are given approval now. PRTU has requested the government to announce new DSC for filling up these posts.
As per right of education act, another fifteen thousand posts are necessary in primary and upper primary schools. State Sarva Siksha Abhiyan authorities sent proposal to the central government of India to approve these posts. These may get the approval in the Sarva Siksha Abhiyan project approval board meeting. If these are approved, line will be clear for filling 25,000 teacher posts through new DSC. On the other side, sports are also made compulsory in schools and another four thousand physical education teacher posts have to be created by the state government of Andhra Pradesh. Thus the vacancies will be more than 30,000 which will be filled by conducting a new DSC
