Google Nexus 7 Tablet @ $99: Google & Asus to Release New Tablet at 99 USD with Toned Down Specs

New Jersey: Rumors spreading on internet suggest that Google is going to release another Nexus 7 inches tablet for this holiday season 2012. If those rumors are to be believed Google and Asus are working on the release of entry level Nexus 7 Tablet with 1 Ghz Processor and 8 GB memory with 99 USD price tag. These rumors could be true because the existing Nexus tablets are doing good business in the market and it is the right time to release a new tablet in this lineage.

As mentioned by GLBenchmark, the new tablet will have lower range of specs and will fit in to the category of entry level tablets. The specs and features of this new tablet will be toned down so as to make it fit in to the category of low cost tablets. It is expected that the new tablet might be priced below 100 dollars or at 99 dollars.

Google Nexus 7 99 USD

This unconfirmed new tablet might have screen size 7 inches, and would come with 1 GB RAM. It will be powered by 1 Ghz processor and will have 4270mAh battery. But a catch here is that, it will run on older version of Jelly Bean OS or Android v4.1.1. This version of OS supports Google Now, which is an improved version of Google Voice Search. As of now, the cheapest one among the Nexus 7 Tablet is Wi-Fi only model and it is at 199 USD. Then the 32 GB model is priced at 249 USD. Most expensive one among these tablets is 3G+Wi-Fi model which costs 299 USD. If the above rumors about specs and features of the new tablet are to be believed, then this new tablet will be priced lower than the lowest of all existing Nexus tablets because it will have weaker processor and low amount of internal memory.

The existing Google Nexus 7 tablet is powered by quad core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor and runs on Android v4.2 or Jelly Bean version of operating system. It will have 1 GB RAM and is provided with IPS display and 216 pixels resolution.
