Hyderabad: Celkon Mobiles launched CT 7 tablet that runs on Android Ice cream Sandwich operating system on 13th December, 2012 in Hyderabad.  Along with it Celkon also launched A200 Smartphone that is offered with a 4.3 inches touchscreen display.

Celkon mobiles announced that the company’s target is to cell ten lakh cell phones in the coming fiscal year. Y Guru, the managing director of Celkon mobiles said that the company is presently selling five to five and half lakh cell phones per month and ten percent of those selling are the Smartphones.

Celkon CT 7 comes with a capacitive touchscreen. Dimensions of the device are 192 x 110 x 14 mm. Internal memory provided for the device is 8 GB and the RAM is 1 GB. A microSD card memory slot is provided for expanding the memory up to 32 GB. Display size of the Celkon CT 7 is 7 inches. It comes with an IPS capacitive touchscreen with display resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. It is also provided with G-Sensor and Proximity sensor. Coming to the multimedia features it got rear camera of 2.0 mp and a digital camera in front. The camera resolutions are 1600 x 1200 pixels. It also supports 3GP, 3G2, MP4 and also windows media video. it works on the Android OS v4.0.3 or Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. The battery provided in the device is 300 mAH battery. CT 7 tablet comes with a price tag of Rs. 6499.

Celkon also launched A 200 Smartphone in Hyderabad with 4.3 inch display. The device runs on Android V4 or Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. Key features of A200 are the capacitive touchscreen, dual SIM – GSM, high speed processor, 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity and the memory provided is 4GB with a provision for expansion of memory up to 32 GB. The battery inside is the Li-ion 1500 mAh. The device is available in black color.

Celkon company is planning to increase the sales of smartphones by 20-25 percent and to sell fifty thousand to one lakh tablets per month. Y Guru, Managing Director of Celkon mobiles, informed that Celkon has done a business of Rs. 362 crores in this financial year till October, 2012 and also said that they are confident that in the coming financial year the business will be Rs. 800 crores.
