AP Police Recruitment Notification for 7,000 Constable Posts Soon

Hyderabad:  A notification is going to be issued for the recruitment of constables in police department.  There are around seven thousand vacancies and the state police recruitment board will be issuing the notification soon.  There was delay in the issue of notification because of technical issues.  There are 1.20 police staff in Andhra Pradesh and nearly 13,141 were selected and being trained now.

The number of women constable in police department is very less and thus this time 2843 constable posts are allotted for women candidates.  Women PCs who are working since many years can now be promoted as constables.  There are 2113 civil constable posts.  Other vacancies that are going to be filled are armed reserve, APSC, SCF and fire services.  By the time the notification is released, there are chances that the number of posts will increase by another thousand.

In the recent times nearly eight hundred police staff were retired in Andhra Pradesh.  The number of people who retire from the service may reach 1000 by the end of December, 2012.  These posts will also be included in the notification.  The issue of notification is being delayed due to the issue of negative marks.  In a recent meeting that was held which was headed by Home Minister Indra Reddy decided that there should be no negative marking in police recruitment tests.  Chief minister of Andhra Pradesh Kiran kumar reddy also reacted positively for this proposal.  With this, home minister Sabita Indra Reddy ordered her chief secretary to issue a GO to this effect.

Authorities in Home ministry are looking for lega advise and they may release the GO in one or two days.  After the GO is issued, police recruitment board notification will also be released in one or two days.  Candidates are requesting to issue the notification before the new year begins.
