DSC 2013 Notification in January, 2013

Hyderabad:  DSC 2013 notification will be issued by the end of January, 2013, according to sources.  DSC 2013 notification will be issued for 35,000 posts.  Another 15,515 posts are required under Right to Education act, but these posts need the approval of central government.  Thus the officials have decided to speed up their efforts to get approval for these posts.

According to Secondary Education Principal Secretary Rajeswar Tiwari said that DSC 2012 recruitments will be completed by 17th December, 2012 and DSC 2013 notification will be issued immediately after deciding the total number of vacancies.  If central government gives approval for RTE posts, notification for DSC 2013 will be released for nearly 35,000 posts.  This number includes the 10,917 posts in Primary schools, new PET posts, Pandits etc.

According to Rajeev Vidya Mission, in Andhra Pradesh there is a requirement of 38,355 teacher posts.  Primary education department wanted to issue notification for 38,355 posts in the previous year itself and sent the proposal to finance department.  But finance department clarified that they cannot agree for creating or recruiting posts that have no approval of central government.  As a result DSC 2012 notification was issued only for the 21,343 posts and conducted written exam recently.

Rajeev Vidya Mission said there is a requirement of 15,515 posts in elementary schools, 1,914 grade-2 language pandit posts.  As sports are made compulsory in all the schools there is also a requirement of more than 4,000 PET posts, it suggested.  It is estimated that there will be another 3,000 teacher posts which are required for 9th and 10th classes.  There can be clarity on the number of posts by December, 2012.  There is every chance that DSC 2013 notification will be issued by the end of January, 2013.

Secondary Education chief secretary Rajeswar Tiwari also informed that education department has decided to conduct Teacher Eligibility and Selection Test instead of Teachers Eligibility Test and Teacher Recruitment Test.  Candidates will need to write only TEST instead of two tests.  With the decision to issue DSC 2013 notification soon, a decision will also be taken regarding TEST, he said.
