APSRTC to Run Special Buses for Pancharamas in Kartik Month
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh State Transport Corporation APSRTC announced that it will run special buses for the devotees who want to visit famous Shiva temples in Andhra Pradesh during the holy month of Kartik. There will be two special packages for Deccan Pancha Shaiva Kshetras and for Pancharamas.
Rangareddy district Regional Manager C Vinod Kumar informed that special buses will be run from MGBS Hyderabad on 18th, 25th November, 2012 and 2nd, 9th December, 2012. Under the Deccan Pancha Shaiva Kshetras package, the passengers can visit Vemulavada, Kaleswaram, Ramappa Temple, Thousand pillar temple and Palakurti. Under the Pancharama package, passengers can visit Amaravati, Bhimavaram, Palakollu, Draksharamam and Samarlakota.
C Vinod Kumar informed that the ticket price for Deccan Shiva Kshetras tour is Rs. 750. The special buses will start from MGBS at 2.00 pm on Sundays and come back to Hyderabad on Monday at 8.00 pm. For Pancharama kshetras, buses will start from MGBS on Sundays at 7.00 pm and return back to Hyderabad on Tuesday at 7.00 am. Ticket price for this is Rs. 1300. Special buses travel via BHEL, Chanda Nagar, KPHB, AR Nagar, Ameerpet, Tarnaka, Uppal, LB Nagar, Vanasthalipuram and Hayathnagar.
The month of Kartik is considered very auspicious as it is the favorite month of Lord Shiva. People wish to visit Shiva temples as it is believed that performing special Abhishekas during this month is loved by Shiva. Pancharama are the five sacred temples in Andhra Pradesh situated in three districts – East Godavari, West Godavari and Guntur. These are Amaravati, Bhimavaram, Palakollu, Draksharamam and Samarlakota.
Deccan Pancha Shaiva Kshetras are the five temples located in and around Warangal and Karimnagar districts. These are Vemulavada, Kaleswaram, Ramappa Temple, Thousand Pillar temple and Palakurti.
Passengers who want to book their tickets for Deccan Pancha Shaiva kshetras tour or Pancharama tour can do so at the ticket counters at MGBS, JBS and Dilsukhnagar bus stops. There are 325 authorized counters in Hyderabad twin cities for booking APSRTC tickets. Passengers can also book their tickets through e-ticket method.
