T20 World Cup 2012 Super-8: India to face Aussies, South Africa and Pakistan

T20 world cup 2012 group matches will be completed with the Pakistan-Bangladesh match. Super-8 matches will be played now. Each match, run-rate is crucial for the teams to reach the knock-out stage. The opponents here are very strong unlike in group matches. India has to face Australia and South Africa. India may have to face its long time rival Pakistan also.

Top eight teams have reached the Super-8 stage in T20 World Cup 2012. Though Bangla-Pakistan match is still left, Bangla has to win over Pakistan with a huge difference which may not be possible. In the super league stage, the eight teams will be divided into two groups. India has topped Group-A with two wins in league matches and will play in group-2. Australia and South Africa are also in the same group. After the final group match, Pakistan will also be in the same group.

In Group-1 there will be England, Sri Lanka, New Zealand and West Indies teams. Top two teams in each group will quality for semifinal matches. India will play one match each with South Africa, Aussies and Pakistan. To reach the knock-out stage, it has to win in two matches.

Indian’s performance in T20 World Cup 2012

In group matches, over all batting performance of India team is good. Though it has faced some tense moments in the match against Afghanistan, they have played well in the England match. India’s batting lineup is very good with Kohli, Raina, and Rohit taking crucial responsibilities. Dhoni, Yuvraj and Virat Kohli are also playing well giving the required support in crucial times by playing well. The performance of Raina is also as per the expectations.

Bowling is the main problem for Team India. Though the performance of spinners is good, the performance of face bowlers is not up to expectations.
