Annual Convention and Seminar on Exploration Geophysics
Association
of Exploration Geophysicists organized its 28th Annual Convention
and Seminar on Exploration Geophysics during 17-20 September,
2003 at Swosti Plaza, Bhubaneswar, India. The Special theme of this
seminar was Airborne Geophysics. The seminar was sponsored by Oil India
Limited, Compagnie Generale de Geophysique, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation
Ltd., De Beers, Enron Oil and Gas India Limited, GAIL, Reliance, Cairn Energy,
and Schlumberger, Scintrex. Various national organizations, Government and
Private, engaged in geoscientific activities in India cosponsored the event.
This seminar is of immense value to professional geoscientists,
industrial planners, investors, engineering geologists and research scholars of
geosciences. The delegates at the seminar shared a comprehensive review of the
geological, geophysical, engineering and educational challenges. A number of
renowned geoscientists from India and abroad presented state of art practices
in geosciences. This was a unique opportunity to enjoy a broad cross-section of
geology, geophysics and related technology in the technical sessions, poster
sessions, exhibition and field trips.
